Dave`s Cafe in Cloudcroft

The food wasn't anything special. They don't have liquor. Just wine based drinks. The service was ok.

My phone is lying to me. I've never eaten at Dave's Cafe. I walked by, close enough for it to count I suppose. From what I saw, the place was at capacity which is a big crowd. Everyone looked happy; and if the escaping aromas are an accurate testimony, the food is fantastic!

Dave’s quite a bit after school but today when I went one of the waiters was just so mean so pushy so rude all I wanted to do was eat in peace and not have someone ask me “are you done yet” even though clearly I’ve only taken a few bites of my food. But I do have to admit the food is very good and I haven’t had too many issues with waiters in the past this was the first really bad experience

Very good burgers in the cool mountain village of Cloudcroft. The restaurant itself is pretty small...not a lot of places to sit. And I was pretty surprised by the hefty ticket...$75 for 4 people for what I consider to be pretty basic fare. All in all a good experience.

The food was amazing the staff was kind and felt judgr free!!!!

First time here and new to area. Burger was horrible. Never had one burnt so bad. Fries were supposed to have garlic salt on them and they didn't not to mention they were burned to the point they were like the potato sticks you put on green bean casserole. Wish I could post pictures.

Hated it the steak philly came out as a ham philly somehow. the staff was a complete mess! totally dont go here!!!!!

I ordered a hamburger and it smelled really bad. Like the meat had gone off. My husband could smell it as well. I brought it in and 2 people smelled it and the cook smelled it and said it was fine. I wasn't ugly and they did offer to make another one but we didn't have time. They were nice. I just will not be eating there again. Also, the french fries were burned.

Popular place with locals and visitors alike, and for good reason. Burgers are tasty, and the onion rings are excellent. We ate here twice on a recent stay in Cloudcroft and both times had great casual meals (we even went in with hiking trail grime on us and nobody batted an eye), served by a friendly and efficient waitress. We liked this place! Recommended!

The food was great, the people were friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. If you are in Cloudcroft, NN, I recommend you stop at Dave's Cafe!!!

Just eh. Had the magic melt and the meat was dry. Fries were good & girl at the counter was sweet. Chef was not wearing a mask.

I had the Reuben it was great. They give you the dressing on the side. So you put on as much as you want.

I wish I could say I loved the food but it was bad. I ordered the nachos and what little meat I had on them was burnt and chewy. My fiance ordered a green chile cheeseburger with no tomatoes due to an allergy and ended up with them anyways. The burger itself wasn't very good. To top it off we weren't able to get refills to wash it down with.

I had a pleasant experience. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I ordered breakfast and the food was great. The green Chile was really good. Prices are reasonable. I will definitely come back when I am in the area.

Great place to get away great ice cream on those hot days

Every time I'm in Cloudcroft (usually twice a year) a stop at Dave's is a MUST! They never disappoint! The food is great, service is friendly, and prices are reasonable. I highly recommend Dave's if you are hungry for a great burger.

After hiking around for a few hours, the lady and I stopped in here for late lunch and were pleasantly surprised. She had a chicken salad and I had a club sandwich with fries. Just simple stuff but it was very well prepared and amply portioned and tasted great. I mean maybe it was because I was so hungry or maybe the altitude but it was the best club sandwich with fries I've ever had. It was very apparent that whoever is in the kitchen cares about what they are sending out. Great job!

It was delicious! But it did take quite awhile to get our food and my grandma's french Fry's were cold and hard.

Good selection of draught beer, solid service, and good bar food. The green chile carried a hefty kick even by New Mexican standards. The chili cheese fries were tasty and a perfect complement to a cold beer before heading out on a hike.

I love this place, we go everytime we go to cloudcroft to camp, it's so well served and delicious!

We have dined here a lot. The food is always fresh and delicious.

The staff was so sweet. Food was also delicious, they have an outside patio if you have your fur babies and draft beer ! <3

I’m sitting in the parking lot outside Dave’s Cafe after standing at the register being totally ignored. They looked busy and I understand that. I’m willing to wait, but they looked at me and didn’t even acknowledge me. They looked at me and ignored me. A “hi, sorry, we’re busy and we’ll be with you in a couple minutes” would have been great. I would have stayed and waited. But when both people at the register looked at me and then ignored me, that’s when I left, returned to my car, and wrote this review. Spend your money at a place where they’ll treat you like a person - shoot, where they’ll at least acknowledge your existence.

Always consistently good. Burgers great, salads terrific. Service friendly and fast for a small restaurant.

The food here is great. It gets pretty busy, but overall completely worth any wait.

Small Town charm at it's best. Ate dinner one night and food was excellent little wait time. Staff was on.top of it. Based on dinner experience returned for breakfast. Also very good. All was reasonably priced.

Super slow or no service at all, same experience as the lady below. My family came in at 11:00. Waiting for 20 min, but nothing happened, not even a waitress or waiter came over to check us. I asked one waiter to order, but he said he would bring someone here. 10 min later, he came back and said it was busy and lag service. Come on, over half empty seats?! I was heading to White Sands Park, and better not wasting my time here. My family has to leave without even getting a chance to talk to the waitress. Tourists, please be aware of this restaurant- don’t waste your time there!!

I needed a place to hang out for half an hour with good ice cream and good wifi. Definitely a local crowd, but friendly

Food was fantastic! Lots of good beers on tap. Ice cream joint right inside that was good. Good was delicious. They messed up or order a little bit in regards to our sides, but they corrected it quickly with no difficulty. Again, the food was delicious! Totally recommend it!

Wife and I make a habit of stopping by Dave's when in the village. Hamburgers are always good (a friend told me some years ago to try the Willy burger, and I have been hooked since). Also, the ability to get a beer at the bar really adds to the meal.

After a quick camping trip in Cloudcroft, we stopped here on our way out of town. Atmosphere is unique and it was a nice change from fast food. There's a lot to choose from on their menu, but we decided to split two plates...a smothered burrito and a burger and it filled us up just fine and it was delicious. It was a busy lunch and the service still managed to cater to all customers. They have a small selection of ice cream, but still enough to satisfy our sweet tooth. Even if there's a wait, I would recommend this restaurant.

I wouldn't call it over flavorful but it was okay. Nice beer selection though.

Food took forever. BLT toast was hard and greasy, chips greasy...

Edit: Our last experience was not as good as others. Docked a star for having a cook that thinks charcoal bacon is "extra crispy", then replaced it with more burnt bacon. My dog will be happy though. The rest of our breakfasts were just fine.We have had some excellent sandwiches and omelettes here. Prices are within reason and portions are HUGE! Nice wait staff and clean place. Worth checking out!

Food was good "Easy" helped the waitress but still a lot of our friends didn't get their food for 45 minutes or later mybe because they sat in the Ice cream area due to not enough room they couldn't enjoy a cold beer because they were sat in the ice cream area, the restroom has the paper towels on the outside of the restroom so just picture how gross that is but again people ho for the area no the service or the food

Were informed when we were seated that they were experiencing a personnel issue in the kitchen and that there would be a delay getting orders out. As we were not in any rush we went ahead and ordered and as advertised it took a while for our meal to come out. Everything was delicious and to top it off the staff went out of there way to take care of us. Comped some of the appetizers and apologized over and over.All in all a great experience since we had the time to spare and we knew what to expect.

Great service, a number of rotating good taps, pretty broad menu (even veg options) neat atmosphere. Happy hour, $10 flights of 4, what more could you want.

Great service, delicious food, affordable price. I ordered the half Charlie salad and it was fantastic. I would definitely recommend.

Just had the green chili cheeseburger and a couple pints of their 16 on-tap craft beers. Many locals were there, and I was greeted like I was a long-lost cousin. The burger and home made fries was just perfect. If I ever make it back to Cloudcroft, I'll eat here again.
